Job Description

Housed within the Office of Marketing & Communications, the Department of Creative Services has a long history of design mentorship that has led to graduate success in the field. Our three staff designers have extensive knowledge in using the Adobe Creative Suite, as well as branding, printing and creating web and social graphics. As a student designer in our office, you will dive deeper into the world of Adobe products and learn about image correction, brand standards, prepress printing guidelines, and how to work with other offices all over campus. You will work within a true marketing team, consisting of other designers, a writer, photographer, videographer, web content specialists, etc. Student designers are responsible for the design, scheduling and production of printed and digital material as assigned by the student supervisor. This includes note cards, posters, brochures, brand-based logo treatments, social media posts, etc. Our students also serve as a purchasing agents for various campus departments when ordering their publications.

Job Requirements

I. Designs, edits and coordinates production of college publications, including brochures, flyers, catalogs and newsletters for both internal and external use. II. Utilizes Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, InDesign) on a Macintosh platform to design and illustrate publications. Some prior experience in these applications is preferred. III. Performs other duties as assigned by student supervisor, or as otherwise dictated by virtue of the position. IV. Must be detail-oriented and able to meet deadlines.
