Entry-level position that serves as an introduction to the Office of Admission and the Ambassador program. The emphasis is on training Ambassadors to prepare them for meaningful work within our office, by focusing on general career readiness skills while also introducing Ambassadors to the general tasks of the office and beginning tour training. Serve as the front line of guest experience, providing excellent customer service, engaging with guests and managing office assignments. Assist with daily functions and operations in the Office of Admission, which may include but are not limited to: Welcome desk–greet and direct guests; check in visitors for their campus tour Phones–field phone calls from prospective students and parents, including working with families to schedule visits to campus General Office–other office tasks as assigned including managing the daily calendar, making visitor folders, writing thank you notes to students, responding to emails, answering voice mails, re-stocking office supplies, etc. Events–special event support and participation; required to work 2-3 Saturdays per semester Tours – learn to drive the bus for tours; begin tour training through shadow tours, mock tours, partner tours, etc. SUMMER POSITION Must be available to work all of Block A (May 18 - June 20) and/or all of Block B (June 21-July 24). May start during Late Stay week of May 11-15 if interested. Work during Transition Block (July 26-August 8) and during the Early Arrival period (August 9-22) may also be an option. |
