Job Description

The Public Relations Manager manages the day-to-day operations of the public relations office. This student is responsible for managing the preparation and distribution of press releases, and providing editing assistance as needed for the Berry Web site and print publications such as the Alumni Accent and Berry magazine. This student makes assignments and ensures the completion of essential tasks such as organizing media hits, maintaining office files and handling requests for promotional materials from constituents both on campus and off. Depending on level of experience and leadership capabilities, this student also provides logistical and planning support for special events.

Job Requirements

Juniors or Seniors preferred. A major in communication or English is essential for this position; strong writing and editing skills are a necessity, and the student must have a solid understanding of the AP Stylebook. Prior publications experience is preferred. The ideal candidate will be a talented communicator with strong interpersonal skills who possesses an innate ability to inspire and motivate fellow students.
