Responsibilities:

Safety and Surveillance:

Monitor pool activities and swimmers to identify any safety concerns or emergencies.
Enforce all pool rules and regulations to prevent accidents and ensure a safe environment.
Perform rescues and administer first aid or CPR as needed.
Maintain a vigilant watch over the pool area, utilizing scanning techniques to cover all zones effectively.
Ensure proper usage of pool equipment and facilities.
Facility Maintenance and Cleanliness:

Keep the pool area, including the deck and surrounding areas, clean and orderly.
Conduct regular checks of pool equipment, such as lifeguard chairs, rescue tubes, and first aid kits, to ensure they are in good working condition.
Assist in maintaining proper water chemistry by conducting routine water tests and reporting any issues to Director of Aquatics.
Ensure proper setup and storage of pool equipment before and after use.

Team Collaboration:

Work closely with other lifeguards, pool staff, and management to ensure effective communication and smooth operations.
Participate in regular in-service training sessions to maintain skills and knowledge.
Assist in the coordination and execution of pool events, swim lessons, and other activities.
Provide exceptional customer service by interacting positively with patrons, addressing their needs, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
