Job Description
This position will assist in providing transportation for Berry College students in between class times following a planned route along Main Campus; perform vehicle inspections as per ADA regulations; and assist students with campus directions as needed. The Campus Transportation Driver is responsible for providing safety to passengers; is able to make informed and safe decisions independently; maintain cleanliness of vehicles; and perform other related duties as assigned.

Duties
•Check the condition of a vehicle's tires, brakes, windshield wipers, lights, water, and safety and ADA equipment to ensure everything is in working order.
•Pick-up and drop-off students and other passengers at regularly scheduled locations, following strict time schedules.
•Comply with traffic regulations in order to operate vehicles in a safe and courteous manner; report any bus malfunctions or needed repairs; follow safety rules as students are boarding and exiting buses and as they cross streets near bus stops.
•Keep bus exterior and interior clean for passengers; regulate heating, lighting, and ventilating systems for passenger comfort; make adjustments to vehicle.
•Complete and submit reports to management.
•Read maps and follow written and verbal geographic directions; report delays, accidents, or other traffic and transportation situations using telephones or mobile two-way radios.
•Work collaboratively with team members and serve the College and community with a positive attitude. 
•Approach work as a service ambassador to the community.
•Perform other duties as assigned.
•Uphold College mission through work performed.

Job Requirements
Skills and Qualifications 
•Excellent customer service skills; ability to interpret maps, directions, and instructions; knowledge of state, county, and federal laws that pertain to transportation; written and verbal skills to effectively communicate with supervisors, law enforcement, and customers; ability to follow written and verbal directions required.  


Required: Class C license with passenger endorsement
