Job Description
The Hospitality Greeter Supervisor will be a key representative to the campus community, assisting with answering guests’ questions as they are entering campus, or calling to inquire about a specific need. This student will complete duties including:
1. Maintain commitment to Welcome Center team and supervisory role throughout Academic Year, working at least 12 hours per week
2. Manage student team and assist with resolving any student conflicts, with help of staff supervisor
3. Schedule student greeter team to cover all necessary shifts from 7am – 7pm
4. Supervise and mentor incoming students to the greeter team to help them learn more about campus
5. Send weekly reminders to Welcome Center team to keep them updated on Campus events, policies, etc.
6. Assist with creating monthly newsletter for Berry campus from Welcome Center with helpful reminders and information
7. Handle last-minute schedule changes, filling in for cancellations where necessary and finding replacements
9. Communicate appropriately with Campus Safety manager to address any problems or concerns regarding guests, events, gate questions, etc.
9. Be a friendly greeter of all campus guests that come through the gatehouse to enter Berry College
10. Direct guests to park and enter gatehouse to answer more detailed questions, receive brochures, use facilities, etc.
11. Assist callers with answering their questions or determining who to connect them to
12. Transfer callers to most applicable department or person, or to requested department
13. Answer guests’ questions to the best of your ability
14. Problem solve if there are any situations that arise, such as calling campus safety, looking up events in EMS, knowing who to call for particular problems if there are any
15. Provide helpful reminders of venue and college policies to guests if applicable

16. Additional responsibilities and duties as necessary and appropriate
Student Welcome Team members will provide maps and other campus brochures to visitors, obtain information from visitors about the purpose of their visit and assist them in answering questions about the college. Team members will be knowledgeable about events occurring on campus and they will work closely with Admissions, the Cottages and Oak Hill
Job Requirements
Team members are expected to be friendly and welcoming, to dress appropriately and to be able to obtain information from other departments if necessary. Applicants should possess excellent communication and customer service skills. They should be tactful, energetic, eager to assist others in problem-solving, and be willing to help build a “culture of hospitality” at Berry College for visitors to our campus.
