The Outdoor Recreation Assistant role is within the Berry College Department of Recreation which includes the teams of Fitness, Intramurals, Nutrition, BOLD, Outdoor Rec, Risk Management, and Marketing & Communication. This role within the Outdoor Rec (OREC) team would report to the OREC Student Director, OREC Associate(s), and OREC Manager(s), with their primary roles being responsibility of the OREC Outpost with the potential to offer support for OREC Trips as needed. This role would work alongside other team members to check out gear to Berry students, fac/staff, and other registered Cage Center members, help to maintain inventory and documentation of the checkout/check-in process, and extend the lifetime of gear by completing routine and post-use upkeep and maintenance. OREC Assistants may also be responsible for upkeep and maintenance of outdoor recreation facilities as assigned as well as assisting OREC Trip Leaders and Supervisors with various outdoor recreation experiences both on- and off-campus (hiking, paddling, climbing, etc.) assuming these tasks will not interfere with principal responsibilities at the Outpost. *Currently hiring for Fall 2025 - with the potential for early hire to complete Spring 2025 training as needed. |
