The Director of Operations for Track & Field plays a pivotal role in assisting the coaching staff with all areas of the Track & Field program. This position may also have a supervisor and leadership role with the program Office Assistant and/or Team Assistant. Responsibilities: 1. Team Support: Assist coaches and athletes and manage Team Assistant(s)/Office Assistant(s) at events by setting up equipment, managing inventory, and ensuring facilities are prepared. Coordinate with the coaching staff to facilitate efficient practice sessions and game-day operations. 2. Administrative Tasks: Serve as the Office Lead, overseeing program Office Assistant and their task load. Maintain accurate and up-to-date budget spreadsheets. Take lead on all team meals during travel and home meets. Assist with team schedules, calendars, and communication tools to ensure all members are informed of practice times, meets, and other events. Help organize team meetings, events, and activities to foster team cohesion and communication. Plan and execute Recruiting strategies by organizing mass mailings and assisting coaching staff with on campus recruiting events. 3. Meet Day Operations: Assist with meet day preparations, including setup of benches, team equipment and other meet-related logistics. Provide in-game support such as managing meet operation and flow, tracking statistics, and supporting coaches with any immediate needs. |
