Job Description

The Center for Personal and Professional Development (CPPD) at Berry College is seeking out a student who is interested in working through LifeWorks to develop skills in marketing, specifically as our Student Marketing Manager. The CPPD is made up of Career Development, LifeWorks, and Community and Industry (C&I) Internship Program. Marketing in the CPPD is made up of 3 major parts, Social Media, newsletters to students, and video and graphic design. As the marketing manager, you would work closely with all marketing students making sure they have a clear understanding of their tasks and responsibilities. The person in this role will be responsible for obtaining marketing requests from our CPPD staff, gathering information needed, and making sure the student team that you work with has the information they need. You will be responsible for making sure that all created content is within our branding guidelines. You will work closely with the supervisor and the CPPD student marketing team.

On a weekly basis the social media coordinator will be responsible for:

-          Attend and assist in leading marketing student team meetings.

-          Review marketing materials made by other student workers and request first edits before getting approval from supervisor.

-          Ensure weekly social media posts are going out and that posts are unique to the CPPD.

-          Assist other students on the marketing team if and when help is needed.

-          Willingness to step in and help other marketing students when needed.

-          Gathering data from marketing efforts and sharing what efforts are most effective.

Job Requirements

A student interested in this role should have the following skills and interests:

-          Interest in working with a marketing team, does not have to be a marketing major.

-          Knowledge of social media apps, Canva, and ability to edit.

-          Willingness to learn the Hootsuite and My Emma platforms.

-          Interest in working with a team whose goal is to create a more effective marketing campaign.

-          Ability to communicate with team members
