Job Description

The Center for Personal and Professional Development (CPPD) at Berry College is seeking out a student who is interested in working through LifeWorks to develop skills in marketing. Someone who is familiar with and/or skilled in video filming, video editing, and graphic design will be a great candidate for this position. The CPPD is made up of Career Development, LifeWorks, and Community and Industry (C&I) Internship Program. As the CPPD Video and Graphic Design Coordinator, you will work directly with other students in our office who are on the marketing team. You would be helping film and edit reels for our YouTube channel that are designed to educate our audience on CPPD related topics. You will be given the task of working to build out our YouTube account, creating informational posters via Canva, and taking photos and videos at CPPD events.

On a weekly basis the social media coordinator will be responsible for:

-          Attending marketing student team meetings.

-          Communicate with Copy Editor and Social Media Coordinator to ensure that messaging is consistent across all platforms.

-          Research to find CPPD related information that will be helpful for students to have in a video reel format.

-          Work directly with the Social Media Coordinator to create graphics for posters around campus for promoting service and events for the CPPD.

-          Develop and write scripts for various content-based projects. 

-          Handle the filming process, ensuring high-quality video production. 

-          Edit video content with proficiency in video editing software. 

-          Generate creative ideas for content to engage the target audience. 

Job Requirements

A student interested in this role should have the following skills and interests:

-          Strong videography skills with experience in different filming techniques. 

-          Proficient in project execution from conception to final delivery. 

-          Excellent scripting skills with the ability to create engaging and coherent scripts. 

-          Innovative and creative mindset for content ideation. 

-          Familiarity with video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, etc. 

-          Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. 

-          Strong organizational and time management skills to meet project deadlines.
