Job Description

The Center for Personal and Professional Development (CPPD) at Berry College is seeking out a student who is interested in working through LifeWorks to develop skills in marketing and communications. The CPPD is made up of Career Development, LifeWorks, and Community and Industry (C&I) Internship Program. As the social media and events assistant, you will be asked to help create social media graphics and reels that are related to the mission of the CPPD. You will also be asked to attend CPPD events throughout the semester to take photos and videos.

On a weekly basis the content and events assistant will be responsible for:

-          Attending marketing student team meetings.

-          Work with the Social Media Coordinator to create differentiating social media posts and reels across all social media platforms.

-          Keep up to date with social media trends and come up with ideas to incorporate trends in CPPD postings.

-          Work with the Social Media Coordinator to have a knowledge of social media scheduling software.

Job Requirements

A student interested in this role should have the following skills and interests:

Knowledge of social media apps, Canva, and an interest in learning to edit.

Ability to be creative while designing informative and engaging posts and captions to grab our audiences’ attention.

An understanding of social media platforms and digital engagement strategies.

Willingness to work and communicate with the supervisor and other marketing team members.

Interest in assisting to create successful social media campaigns.
