Job Description

The Center for Personal and Professional Development (CPPD) at Berry College is seeking out a student who is interested in working through LifeWorks to develop skills in marketing and communications. The CPPD is made up of Career Development, LifeWorks, and Community and Industry (C&I) jobs. As the CPPD Editing Assistant, you would work directly with the supervisor and student copy editor to create the CPPD weekly newsletter. The CPPD weekly newsletter’s purpose is to inform students of important CPPD career events, LifeWorks reminders, etc.

On a weekly basis the editing assistant will be responsible for:

Attend and assist in leading marketing student team meetings.

Learning the MyEmma online software system from the student Copy Editor

Working with the student Copy Editor to create graphics into image sizes that are appropriate for the newsletter.

Work with the student copy editor to brainstorm new ideas and new ways to increase student engagement through the newsletter.

Job Requirements

A student interested in this role should have the following skills and interests:

Knowledge of how to use Canva.

An interest in the CPPD and promoting events and services the office offers.

Interest and skill in delivering informative messages to the student body.

Comfortable working with and learning new computer software.
