Job Description

As an Event Assistant you will be responsible for ensuring event spaces are set up prior to the start of events, in a timely and efficient manner. You will be tasked with moving and acquiring all appropriate equipment and furnishings for any number of event spaces booked in the Krannert building as outlined in the EMS program. Event Assistants may be asked to assist in checking and maintaining inventory and must abide by proper technology training. Event Assistants will work alongside Shift Leads and Supervisors in a friendly and professional manner while upholding the standards set by Berry College's Viking Code of Conduct.

Job Requirements

·         display basic understanding of technology, and perform quality checks                                                                     

·         handle tricky situations with diplomacy and finesse

·         display the ability to make independent decisions              

·         retain an excellent sense of time management           

·         ability to communicate and listen to Shift Leads and or Supervisor                                                                        

perform regular inspection of AV equipment and communicate any issues to team leaders
