Job Summary Assist with planning, development and implementation of a communications program, and/or public relations plan for an assigned agency, department, facility or function. This position is located at the Northwest Georgia Public Health District Office in Rome, Georgia. This is a part-time intern position working 20 hours per week. Responsibilities / Duties Strong written, verbal, and communication skills with a knack for online culture that communicates the Public Health message Passion for identifying new trends in social media and staying up to date on the latest platform updates and offerings You're a self-starter who is interested in helping to identify and create projects that increase awareness of / participation in public health programs and services Superior project management and organizational skills Familiarity with social media channels and the production of informational material in a variety of media channels Detail-oriented, persistent follow-up and an ability to juggle shifting priorities Schedule, post and QA all social media content Minimum Qualifications Pursuing Bachelor’s degree related to Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or other related fields.
