Job Description |
We are seeking a responsible and compassionate Kennel Attendant to join our team. The Kennel Attendant will be responsible for the daily care and well-being of our animal guests, including feeding, cleaning, and providing exercise and socialization. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: Feed and water animals according to their individual needs Walk dogs and allow them to spend some time in the play yard Clean and sanitize kennels, cages, and other animal living areas Monitor animal behavior and report any concerns to management Administer medication and treatments as directed by management or veterinary staff Answer phones and assist receptionists as needed. (May be needed to work at the front desk some days)

Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent Availability to work Monday, Wednesday and/or Friday shifts Prior experience working with animals preferred Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed Physical Demands: The Kennel Attendant will be required to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time. The position may also require bending, stooping, and kneeling. Work Environment: The Kennel Attendant will work in a fast-paced environment with exposure to animal hair, dander, and odors. The position may also require working outdoors in various weather conditions.
