Job Description

The Assistant Sports Director reports directly to the Sports Director as part of the sports division of Viking Fusion. They will attend weekly Viking Fusion staff meetings and weekly sports team meetings. The Assistant Sports Directors will help the Sports Director coordinate and execute Viking Fusion sports broadcasts. Responsibilities include but not limited to: assist in sports broadcast pre-production, assigning tasks to sports broadcast personnel, coordinate setup and teardown of equipment, take role in broadcast operations (director, graphics, audio, camera operator).
Job Requirements

The Assistant Sports Director should have a passion for sports and the good interpersonal skills for working with members of the Berry Athletic Department to foster a positive working relationship between the two organizations. Basic Qualifications: A. General: Patience, the ability to work well with others, ability to teach others B. Skill: Outstanding technical knowledge about field production equipment C. Physical: Ability to lift and carry video equipment weighing 20 lbs. D. Academic: A cumulative grade point average of 2.0 or better Desirable Qualifications A. At least one year of participation as a general staff member. B. A demonstrated ability to fulfill commitments. C. A commitment to the betterment of the organization and to excellence in their work.
