Job Description

The IE Assistant promotes IE activities and programs which include assisting with the following duties and others as assigned:         

  • Greet office visitors and answering the office phone
  • Advise prospective study abroad students
  • Participate in event planning and tabling
  • Assist with marketing and promoting International Experiences mission through social media or other on campus communication tools
  • Reply to email messages sent to the International Experiences email account
  • Create written and electronic communications
  • Process study abroad application items and maintain databases
  • Develop career-readiness
  • Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
  • Ability to think creatively and take initiative to complete tasks
  • Demonstrates interpersonal skills such as but not limited to effective verbal and non-verbal communication
  • Dependable and works well under minimum supervisor
  • Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Study abroad or international travel experience preferred
  • Capable of navigating and learning web-based platforms such as Berry Abroad and Canva
  • Organizational skills and ability to multi-task
