Job Description

This position offers a comprehensive range of tools and resources to facilitate effective learning of our business, ultimately equipping managers to pursue their desired career paths. As a student hospitality manager, you will receive hands-on training across dining locations across campus and work under guidance of experienced team members. This comprehensive training encompasses operations, leadership, human resources, marketing, finance and accounting, supply chain, nutrition, sustainability, and information technology. By practicing the skills acquired during training, you will be able to direct operations, lead student hospitality associates, undertake special projects, implement innovative strategies, and interact with clients, all while improving your presentation skills.

Notes:

  • Students in this role can further expand their experience by transitioning to a different sector in the next semester or exploring an internship opportunity.
  • Can be assigned to any dining location (catering, dining hall, Viking Court, Java City) and are responsible for preparing/serving food, guest service, and cleaning

Job Requirements

Requirements:

  • You must be a current college student at Berry College and available to commit to a 9-month program.
  • Students who are experienced, require less supervision, and assist in the training of others.
  • Prior supervisory experience of at least one year is preferred, along with a solid understanding of the operations you will be overseeing.
  • Having at least one semester of hospitality experience in Aramark dining operations is desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, combined with a dedication to personal and professional development, are crucial attributes we value in our student hospitality managers
