Job Description

The Summer Guest Services Coordinator supports the Office of Student Involvement (OSI) by providing top-notch service at the Information Desk, working closely with OSI staff and fellow team members to support our mission and achieve our goals. Task assignments include marketing, event management, future planning, and staff training. The Summer Guest Services Coordinator will make every interaction count, ensuring students, faculty, staff, and visitors have a great experience.

Job Requirements

Office & Information Desk Management

Maintain OSI email

Assist with Student Orgs email

Mail Pick Up

Open and close the Office of Student Involvement at the beginning and end of each workday

Organize and maintain info desk supplies

Restock literature

Maintain lost and found storage and log

Manage board games and equipment check out

Straighten and maintain community areas such as the main lobby

Office and Closet Clean and Refresh: Conducting thorough cleaning and organization of office and storage spaces to improve efficiency

Shuttle cleaning post-Spring and prep for Fall

Guest Services

Greet "customers"

Assist students, faculty, staff or guests with questions and provide accurate and helpful information as needed

Manage printing and poster hanging requests

Marketing

Wall Calendar and Stall Wall:

Designing and maintaining a comprehensive wall calendar and Stall Walls to keep everyone informed about upcoming events and deadlines.

Hanging Stall Walls around campus

Social Media, Display Cases, Email Graphic Design

Designing and posting or printing/hanging graphics for summer events, promotions and important information for students

Answer questions on Instagram

Summer Event Planning & Execution

Assisting with the Planning and Execution of Summer Events

Coordinating logistics, vendors, and schedules to ensure seamless execution

Ticket Distribution

SOAR Programming & Tabling

2025-2026 Academic Year Planning

Discount Card: Collaborating with local merchants to secure exclusive deals and discounts to provide value to students and staff.

Viking Venture Event Planning & Execution

Assist with Berry Connect Updates

Other

Participate in office staff meetings and student work training

Assist professional staff with office projects, campus errands and office programs/events

Assist in managing emergency situations as they may arise

Work with Campus Safety and other professional staff to maintain a calm and safe environment

Complete any necessary documentation and notify Director of emergency situations as they arise
