Key Responsibilities

Wednesday Evening Activities

 Work Hours: 6:00 PM – 8:15 PM

 Schedule:

o 6:15 PM: Join the youth for fellowship dinner.

o 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM: Lead a bible based structured program that includes crafts or activities,

a lesson, and games or physical activities (outdoors, in the gym, or in the basement).

 Supervision and Safety:

o Ensure all youth always remain supervised and together.

o Stay until all youth are picked up by their guardians.

o Maintain a safe environment.

 Cleanup:

o Oversee cleanup activities with assistance from the youth.

 Collaboration:

o Work with youth to assist with activities for younger participants.

o Coordinate with adult or parent assistants who may help maintain order and observe class

time.

Fellowship and Outreach Activities

 Participate in churchwide activities and special events.

 Plan occasional outings and service projects specifically for the youth.General Duties

 Program Planning:

o Prepare biblically and theologically sound youth lessons consistent with the Wesleyan-

Methodist tradition.

o Pre-plan crafts, lessons, and activities to ensure structured and meaningful sessions.

 Resource Management:

o Submit expense requests for lesson materials to the Finance Committee or Pastor for pre-

approval; the church will reimburse approved expenses.

 Conduct:

o Serve in love as a positive Christian role model.

o Adhere to the church's policies and safety guidelines.

Job Requirements

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Youth Leader to provide Christian leadership and

mentorship to youth aged 3rd thru 8TH grade. The ideal candidate will facilitate spiritual growth, organize

engaging activities, and serve as a positive role model. We welcome applications from individuals of all

Christian denominations.

 

Qualifications

 Faith Commitment: Candidates should have a strong Christian faith and be willing to teach

biblically based lessons, preferably in the Wesleyan-Methodist tradition.

 Experience: Previous experience working with youth is preferred but not required.

 Skills:

o Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

o Capability to plan and lead engaging activities and lessons.

o Strong leadership and organizational skills.

 Requirements:

o Pass a drug test and background check.

o Complete Safe Sanctuaries training (provided by the church).

o Provide letters of reference.
