Job Description

This role will maintain the academic year supervision of the Cage Center Fitness Floor, with the primary responsibility being risk/safety management within this space. The Winter Break Fitness Maintenance Technician will maintain a safe exercise environment for Cage Center patrons by performing routine cleaning of all equipment, engaging with patrons and providing support or informational assistance as necessary, conducting maintenance checks and general services on equipment alongside reporting any items in need of repair or replacement, and work with others to execute risk reduction measures including providing care in an emergency situation. This supervision will encompass not solely the Fitness Floor itself but also the group fitness classrooms, upstairs walking track, racquetball courts, and multipurpose (MAC) gym. Secondary responsibilities may include checking out Department of Recreation sports gear/equipment to patrons by request. 

Job Requirements

- current First Aid/CPR/AED certification or ability to obtain upon hire
