Organizational skills and attention to detail – Ability to handle event logistics (conference registration/check-in, name badges, setup). Data analysis and reporting skills – Compiling and analyzing survey data (e.g., SURF), preparing summary reports, tracking faculty and student award metrics. Written and visual communication skills – Designing flyers, designing/writing for newsletter, writing award/rejection letters, managing social media content, creating program for the annual Conference on Student Research and Symposium on Student Scholarship Technical/software proficiency – Comfort with survey platforms, basic data analysis tools (e.g., Excel), and design/publishing software (e.g., Canva, Publisher). Creativity – Developing engaging flyers, newsletters, and social media content (including taking pictures at events) to promote undergraduate research. |
