Job Description

The Athletics Mental Health Ambassador serves as the student leader of the mental health program within the athletic department. This role is ideal for a student who is passionate about mental health advocacy, enjoys public speaking, and is comfortable leading peers. The position works closely with athletic staff and campus partners to promote a culture of wellness and support. The role will be involved in the following responsibilities:

  • Lead and organize the student mental health team 

  • Serve as the primary student speaker for mental health initiatives 

  • Present to athletic teams, coaches, and campus groups 

  • Help plan and facilitate workshops and events 

  • Assist with presentation development and gathering materials 

  • Communicate and collaborate with campus partners (Counseling Center, SAAC, Peer Educators, etc.) 

  • Support overall program coordination and leadership 

Job Requirements
  • Strong interest in student-athlete mental health and wellness 

  • Comfortable speaking in front of groups 

  • Leadership experience (formal or informal) 

  • Organized, reliable, and self-motivated 

  • Ability to communicate professionally with staff, coaches, and peers
