Community & Industry positions are an extension of Berry’s LifeWorks program. This position is considered an intermediate level position and requires students to have completed the CPPD resume approval process. Need approval? Schedule an appointment on Handshake to meet with a Career Peer Advisor for personalized support. • Minimum of a high school diploma/GED required, bachelor’s degree in a field related to autism and/or 3-years’ experience working with children preferred • Complete required training, including 40-hour ABA course, within 30-days of hire (if not RBT certified) and periodic training provided by CABS • Current RBT certification or obtain RBT certification within 30-days of hire (CABS provides all training required for RBT certification.) • Physical ability to play with clients in the gym, bending down, squatting, etc. • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds • Have excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills • Ability to interact with a variety of children on the autism spectrum at different functioning levels • Conduct themselves in a professional manner and hold themselves to high rigorous standards • Be welcoming and helpful to all clients, parents and staff, at all times • Have a strong work ethic with the ability to meet scheduling commitments • Volunteer in community events in which CABS participates at least 2-3 times per year • Other duties as assigned Other: • Must pass a thorough background check NOTE: This job description is not intended to detail all aspects of this position, but rather to summarize it for you and may be updated at any time.
