Job Description

Technician will be expected to receive notifications (via a shared DNR provided cell phone (not for personal use)) from the State of Georgia Emergency Operations Center (EOC). Within 15 minutes of notification, technician will call EOC (1-800-241-4113) and notify them of the

technician’s name and advise they received the emergency notification. Subsequently, the technician will contact the person with the emergency and provide technical guidance relative to their emergency. Most guidance revolves around managing wildlife-human conflicts. Prior to receiving calls, each technician will go through a training process to ensure appropriate information will be conveyed and processes followed.
Job Requirements

· Ability to maintain 24/7 on-call availability during work period

· Ability to maintain cell phone service during work period

· Ability to communicate in a courteous and effective manner to customers

· Knowledge of hunting seasons and regulations

· Knowledge of human-wildlife conflict issues and resolutions
