Job Description

Position Summary: The Fun Squad - Team Member plays a vital role in creating a safe place for children and families to learn, play, and explore our community. This position supports daily operations by facilitating interactive play experiences, assisting with group visits and special events, processing admissions and gift shop transactions, and maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and presentation of Museum spaces. The ideal candidate is energetic, guest-focused, and passionate about creating meaningful learning experiences through play

Essential Functions & Responsibilities: ? Welcome guests in a friendly, professional manner ? Foster a welcoming, inclusive, and family-friendly environment for all guests, visitors, and team members ? Share accurate information about exhibits, programs, memberships,and events ? Facilitate interactive and educational activities for children and families ? Support field trips, birthday parties, and group visits from arrival through departure ? Process admissions, memberships, and other retail transactions accurately ? Assist with opening and closing procedures to support smooth daily operations ? Reset, organize, clean, and restock exhibit spaces and Museum floor areas ? Proactively monitor guest activity and manage risk, security, and compliance with CMOR policies and procedures ? Respond appropriately to accidents, incidents, emergencies, and unsafe conditions in accordance with CMOR procedures. ? Report maintenance, safety, security, or operational concerns promptly. ? Work collaboratively with other team members ? Attend required meetings and training sessions. ? Perform other duties as assigned

Physical & Work Environment Requirements The physical demands and work environment characteristics described below are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this position: ? Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and move throughout the CMOR for extended periods during scheduled shifts ? Ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull up to 30 pounds ? Ability to perform repetitive tasks such as cleaning, resetting exhibits, and stocking materials ? Ability to work effectively in a high-traffic, interactive environment with children, families, school groups, and the general public ? Ability to remain alert to guest safety, identify potential hazards, and respond appropriately to incidents, emergencies, or unsafe conditions Minimum Qualifications: ? Must be at least 16 years of age with reliable method of transportation ? Availability to work weekends, evenings, and special events as needed ? Minimum of one year of working with children/youth preferred ? Cash handling and credit card processing experience preferred Skills & Abilities: ? Positive attitude with a willingness to go above and beyond for all guests ? Enjoys engaging with children and families ? Ability to interact with a variety of people, demonstrating strong interpersonal and communication skills ? Commitment to punctuality, reliability, and accountability to the team ? Ability to remain calm and composed during emergencies or high-traffic periods ? Ability to perform repetitive tasks without distraction ? Passion for the Museum’s mission and play-based learning ? Openness to feedback and a commitment to continuous learning and growth ? Energetic, friendly, and approachable demeanor ? Demonstrated professionalism and a strong sense of responsibility
