Learning & Development Assistants encourage curiosity, foster independence, adapt learning experiences to individual abilities, and build meaningful relationships that help Neighbors grow in confidence, responsibility, and purpose. Learning & Development Assistants participate in a tiered leadership pathway designed to develop their skills, responsibility, and leadership over time. Returning assistants take on increased ownership, mentor newer assistants, and help facilitate NeighborLife programming. Learning & Development Assistant (Returning/Intermediate) For returning students or those with 1+ semester of experience Additional Responsibilities: - Lead or co-facilitate workshops and small-group learning experiences.
- Assist in planning engaging learning experiences and adapting activities for varying abilities.
- Model expectations for Apprentice Learning & Development Assistants and offer peer support.
- Provide feedback and recommendations to support team decision-making
