Learning & Development Assistants encourage curiosity, foster independence, adapt learning experiences to individual abilities, and build meaningful relationships that help Neighbors grow in confidence, responsibility, and purpose. Learning & Development Assistants participate in a tiered leadership pathway designed to develop their skills, responsibility, and leadership over time. Returning assistants take on increased ownership, mentor newer assistants, and help facilitate NeighborLife programming. Lead Learning & Development Assistant (Advanced/Leadership Role) For Learning & Development Assistants demonstrating strong leadership, initiative, and relational depth Expanded Responsibilities: - Co-lead NeighborLife programming alongside Mentors.
- Mentor and support Apprentice and Learning & Development Assistants.
- Assist with curriculum planning, lesson development, and creative learning experiences.
- Serve as point person during designated NeighborLife blocks when Mentors are in one-on-one sessions.
- Provide informal leadership, encouragement, and spiritual support within the Learning & Development Assistant team.
