The Museum Experience Ambassador is responsible for creating memorable, engaging, and welcoming experiences for every guest who visits the Children’s Museum of Rome. Ambassadors actively engage children and families through interactive play, educational conversations, and exceptional customer service while ensuring exhibits remain inviting, safe, and ready for exploration. This position offers Berry College students meaningful experience in education, hospitality, child development, and community engagement.
Primary Responsibilities Guest Experience ? Welcome guests with enthusiasm and professionalism upon arrival. ? Foster meaningful interactions that encourage learning through play. ? Help families discover exhibits, activities, and museum programs. ? Answer guest questions and provide information about memberships, events, and museum offerings. ? Create a positive, inclusive, and memorable experience for every visitor. Exhibit Engagement ? Encourage children to explore exhibits through hands-on demonstrations and guided play. ? Facilitate educational conversations that inspire curiosity and creativity. ? Reset exhibits throughout the day to ensure they remain clean, organized, and fully functional. ? Monitor exhibits for cleanliness, safety, and operational needs. ? Communicate maintenance concerns to museum leadership. Educational Support? Assist with school field trips, camps, birthday parties, and special events. ? Support educational programs by leading activities and demonstrations when assigned. ? Encourage participation in STEAM, art, literacy, and community exhibits. Museum Operations? Assist with opening and closing procedures. ? Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming museum environment. ? Restock activity materials and exhibit supplies. ? Follow museum safety procedures and operational standards. Team Collaboration? Serve as a positive representative of the museum’s mission and values. ? Collaborate with fellow ambassadors, volunteers, and staff to ensure excellent guest service. ? Mentor new student employees through encouragement and modeling exceptional service. ? Communicate guest feedback and operational observations to management. |
