Job Description

The student will support ongoing research by analyzing linguistic data, coding transcripts/recordings for sociolinguistic variables, and assisting with broader research tasks. This is an excellent opportunity for a student interested in gaining hands-on experience in sociolinguistic research methods.

 
Job Requirements
  • Transcribe and code audio/video recordings for sociolinguistic variables (e.g., phonetic, lexical, syntactic features)
  • Analyze qualitative and/or quantitative linguistic data
  • Apply coding schemes consistently across datasets and flag inconsistencies
  • Organize, clean, and manage research data files
  • Conduct literature reviews related to project topics
