Job Description

Students in this position will be expected to write and edit press releases promoting a wide range of events and initiatives. Assignments will range from simple calendar items to full-blown news releases publicizing institutional achievements and individual honors garnered by faculty, staff and students. Students also provide editing support for the Berry College website and the Digital Dispatch e-newsletter. May also assist with marketing projects as needed. The student is expected to train Level 1 and Level 2 students.

Job Requirements

Communication majors preferred but all candidates will be considered; solid writing and editing skills a necessity; working knowledge of AP Stylebook and prior publications experience a plus. The ideal candidate will be well-organized and a quick learner who responds well to deadline pressure. Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, etc., a definite plus.
